These terms are the agreement between you and the publisher of CityGuide XR when you use the app. They are written to be read. If you are a consumer in the European Union, nothing here takes away the rights your law gives you.
1. Who you are dealing with
CityGuide XR (the "app") is published by its developer, established in Spain, identified on the app's Google Play listing, where Google shows the developer's name and contact details as EU law requires ("we"). You can reach us at support@cityguidexr.com. By installing or using the app you accept these terms. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy, which is part of this agreement.
2. What CityGuide XR is
The app is a walking guide. You choose a walk in a city, put your phone in your pocket, and when you reach each place the guide tells you its story in your ear. It can give walking directions between stops, answer questions with an AI model, and, with compatible AI glasses, describe what you are looking at and take photos of the walk. Walks you have downloaded work without a connection; directions, questions and the guide's recorded voice need one.
The stories are generated with the help of AI from public sources such as Wikipedia, Wikidata and OpenStreetMap, checked against those sources by an automated review, and read aloud by a synthetic voice. They can contain mistakes. We work hard on their accuracy, but they are a companion for a stroll, not an authority: opening hours, prices, dates and attributions can be wrong or out of date. Check anything that matters before you rely on it, and tell us when you find a mistake.
3. Walking safely
You are walking through real streets. You are responsible for your own safety and for following the law and local rules wherever you are.
Keep your attention on traffic, cyclists, steps and other people. Use one earbud or a low volume where you need to hear your surroundings.
Directions are a help, not a guarantee. They may send you along a route that is closed, unsafe or not suited to you. Use your judgement and the signs in front of you.
Do not use the app while driving or cycling.
Respect private property, places of worship, memorials and any rules on photography, recording or access. Some stops are best seen from outside.
If you wear AI glasses, be considerate of the people around you when the camera is on.
4. What you need
The app runs on Android phones that meet the version shown on Google Play. Some features need location, microphone or camera permission; the app asks for each when it is first needed, explains why, and works as far as it can without them. AI glasses are optional; everything spoken works with any earbuds. Downloading cities and using online features consumes data on your plan.
You do not create an account. The app identifies your installation with an anonymous identifier, described in the privacy policy. You are responsible for the device you use the app on.
5. All Access subscription
Part of every walk is free. The rest of the guide is unlocked by All Access, a subscription with a monthly and a yearly plan, sold through Google Play. The price is shown in Google Play and in the app before you buy, in your currency and including applicable taxes.
It renews by itself. Your subscription renews at the end of each period at the price shown, until you cancel it. Google Play charges your payment method.
Cancel at any time in Google Play (Subscriptions), at least 24 hours before the period ends. You keep access until the end of the paid period; no further charge is made.
Price changes are announced through Google Play in advance and never apply to a period already paid. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
One subscription, all cities, on the Google account that bought it. Cities are added, updated and sometimes withdrawn (see section 11); All Access covers whatever is in the catalogue at the time.
Google Play's own terms also apply to the purchase. Google is the merchant of record and handles payment, invoices and refunds.
6. Cancelling and refunds
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have the right to withdraw from the subscription within 14 days of buying it without giving a reason. Because the service starts as soon as you buy, you may owe a proportional amount for the days used. To withdraw, request a refund in Google Play or write to us at support@cityguidexr.com with the purchase date, and we will honour it. Google Play's refund policy applies in addition, wherever you live.
If the app or a walk does not work as it should, tell us. Your statutory rights for digital content and services that do not conform, including repair, price reduction and termination, are unaffected by anything in these terms.
7. The AI guide
When you ask the guide a question, the answer is generated by Google's Gemini model from your words, what you are looking at if you allowed the camera, and the context of the walk. AI answers can be wrong, incomplete or made up, even when they sound sure. They are not professional, medical, legal or safety advice. Do not rely on them for anything important without checking.
Do not use the question feature to try to obtain harmful content, to harass or defame anyone, to share personal data about yourself or others, or to make the model act outside its purpose. We may limit or suspend the feature for an installation that abuses it.
8. Content and who owns it
The app, its design, the walks and the parts of the city packs we created ourselves are ours, and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own enjoyment, for as long as you comply with these terms. You may not copy, redistribute or sell the app or our own original content, or use it to train machine-learning models. These limits do not apply to the openly licensed content below.
Some content is under open licences, which keep applying to it. Nothing in these terms stops you copying or reusing it as those licences allow:
Stories and their audio adapted from Wikipedia articles are distributed under CC BY-SA 4.0. The article each story comes from is listed in the app (⋮ › Sources and licences) and on our credits page.
Photographs from Wikimedia Commons, each under the licence and with the author shown in the app and on the credits page.
The photos you take with the glasses and the walks you record are yours. You are responsible for them and for how you share them, including the people who appear in them.
9. Fair use
Our online services, the guide's voice, questions and downloads, run within budgets so that they stay affordable for everyone. The app applies daily fair-use limits per installation. Do not try to get around them, to tamper with the app, its integrity checks or its packs, to access our servers other than through the app, or to interfere with other people's use. We may block an installation that does.
10. Reporting content
Every story, photo and answer can be reported from the app. We read reports and correct, replace or remove content that is wrong, offensive, infringing or unlawful. If you hold rights in something the app shows and believe it is used without permission, write to support@cityguidexr.com with the details and we will act on it.
11. Availability and changes
We keep improving the app: adding cities, rewriting stories, changing features. We may also withdraw a city or a feature, for instance when its sources change or a place closes. Walks you have downloaded keep working offline on your device. If a change materially reduces what All Access gives you, you can cancel and, as an EU consumer, ask for a proportional refund of the current period.
Online features depend on networks, on Google's services and on our budgets, and may be interrupted or limited. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may suspend or end the service for an installation that breaks these terms, after warning you where that is reasonable.
12. Warranties and liability
We provide the app with the care you can expect from a small, independent publisher, and we are liable under the law for the digital content and services we sell you. Beyond what the law requires, the app and its content are provided as they are, and we do not warrant that stories are exhaustive or error-free, that directions are always the best route, or that AI answers are correct.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, for loss of enjoyment of a trip, or for harm arising from how you walk, cross a street or use a device while using the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited under your law.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you also enjoy the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country. We will always try to solve a problem directly first: write to us and we will answer within a few days.
14. Contact and changes to these terms
Questions, complaints and rights requests go to support@cityguidexr.com. When these terms change, the date at the top moves, the current version stays at cityguidexr.com/terms, and material changes are announced in the app before they apply. If you do not accept a change, stop using the app and cancel your subscription; the paid period runs under the terms you accepted.

Estas condiciones son el acuerdo entre tú y quien publica CityGuide XR cuando usas la app. Están escritas para leerse. Si eres consumidor en la Unión Europea, nada de lo que dicen te quita los derechos que te da tu ley.
1. Con quién tratas
CityGuide XR (la «app») la publica su desarrollador, establecido en España e identificado en la ficha de la app en Google Play, donde Google muestra el nombre y los datos de contacto del desarrollador como exige la ley de la UE («nosotros»). Puedes escribirnos a support@cityguidexr.com. Al instalar o usar la app aceptas estas condiciones. Cómo tratamos tus datos está en la política de privacidad, que forma parte de este acuerdo.
2. Qué es CityGuide XR
La app es una guía a pie. Eliges un paseo en una ciudad, guardas el móvil en el bolsillo y, al llegar a cada lugar, la guía te cuenta su historia al oído. Puede darte indicaciones para caminar entre paradas, responder preguntas con un modelo de IA y, con unas gafas con IA compatibles, describir lo que estás mirando y hacer fotos del paseo. Los paseos que hayas descargado funcionan sin conexión; las indicaciones, las preguntas y la voz grabada de la guía la necesitan.
Las historias se generan con ayuda de IA a partir de fuentes públicas como Wikipedia, Wikidata y OpenStreetMap, se contrastan con esas fuentes mediante una revisión automática y las lee una voz sintética. Pueden contener errores. Trabajamos mucho su exactitud, pero son compañía para un paseo, no una autoridad: horarios, precios, fechas y atribuciones pueden estar equivocados o desactualizados. Comprueba lo que te importe antes de fiarte, y avísanos cuando encuentres un error.
3. Caminar con seguridad
Caminas por calles reales. Eres responsable de tu propia seguridad y de cumplir la ley y las normas locales allí donde estés.
Mantén la atención en el tráfico, las bicis, los escalones y las demás personas. Usa un solo auricular o un volumen bajo donde necesites oír lo que te rodea.
Las indicaciones son una ayuda, no una garantía. Pueden llevarte por una ruta cortada, insegura o poco adecuada para ti. Usa tu criterio y las señales que tengas delante.
No uses la app mientras conduces o vas en bici.
Respeta la propiedad privada, los lugares de culto, los memoriales y cualquier norma sobre fotografía, grabación o acceso. Algunas paradas se ven mejor desde fuera.
Si llevas gafas con IA, ten consideración con la gente de alrededor cuando la cámara esté activa.
4. Qué necesitas
La app funciona en móviles Android con la versión indicada en Google Play. Algunas funciones necesitan permiso de ubicación, micrófono o cámara; la app pide cada uno cuando hace falta por primera vez, explica por qué y funciona hasta donde puede sin ellos. Las gafas con IA son opcionales; todo lo hablado funciona con cualquier auricular. Descargar ciudades y usar las funciones en línea consume datos de tu tarifa.
No creas ninguna cuenta. La app identifica tu instalación con un identificador anónimo, descrito en la política de privacidad. Eres responsable del dispositivo en el que la usas.
5. Suscripción All Access
Una parte de cada paseo es gratis. El resto de la guía se desbloquea con All Access, una suscripción con plan mensual y anual, vendida a través de Google Play. El precio se muestra en Google Play y en la app antes de comprar, en tu moneda e impuestos incluidos.
Se renueva sola. La suscripción se renueva al final de cada periodo al precio mostrado, hasta que la canceles. Google Play cobra a tu método de pago.
Cancela cuando quieras en Google Play (Suscripciones), al menos 24 horas antes de que termine el periodo. Conservas el acceso hasta el final del periodo pagado; no se hace ningún cobro más.
Los cambios de precio se anuncian con antelación a través de Google Play y nunca se aplican a un periodo ya pagado. Si no estás de acuerdo, puedes cancelar antes de que el cambio entre en vigor.
Una suscripción, todas las ciudades, en la cuenta de Google que la compró. Las ciudades se añaden, se actualizan y a veces se retiran (ver sección 11); All Access cubre lo que haya en el catálogo en cada momento.
A la compra se aplican también las condiciones de Google Play. Google es el vendedor de registro y gestiona el pago, las facturas y los reembolsos.
6. Cancelación y reembolsos
Si eres consumidor en la UE, tienes derecho a desistir de la suscripción en los 14 días siguientes a la compra sin dar motivo. Como el servicio empieza en cuanto compras, puedes deber una cantidad proporcional por los días usados. Para desistir, solicita el reembolso en Google Play o escríbenos a support@cityguidexr.com con la fecha de compra, y lo atenderemos. La política de reembolsos de Google Play se aplica además, vivas donde vivas.
Si la app o un paseo no funcionan como deberían, dínoslo. Tus derechos legales por contenidos y servicios digitales no conformes, incluidos la subsanación, la reducción del precio y la resolución, no se ven afectados por nada de estas condiciones.
7. La guía con IA
Cuando le haces una pregunta a la guía, la respuesta la genera el modelo Gemini de Google a partir de tus palabras, de lo que estás mirando si permitiste la cámara y del contexto del paseo. Las respuestas de una IA pueden ser erróneas, incompletas o inventadas, aunque suenen seguras. No son asesoramiento profesional, médico, legal ni de seguridad. No te fíes de ellas para nada importante sin comprobarlo.
No uses la función de preguntas para intentar obtener contenido dañino, para acosar o difamar a nadie, para compartir datos personales tuyos o de otros, ni para hacer que el modelo actúe fuera de su propósito. Podemos limitar o suspender la función a una instalación que abuse de ella.
8. Contenido y propiedad
La app, su diseño, los paseos y las partes de los paquetes de ciudad que hemos creado nosotros son nuestros y están protegidos por derechos de autor y otras leyes. Te concedemos una licencia personal, no exclusiva e intransferible para usar la app para tu propio disfrute, mientras cumplas estas condiciones. No puedes copiar, redistribuir ni vender la app ni nuestro contenido original, ni usarlo para entrenar modelos de aprendizaje automático. Estos límites no se aplican al contenido con licencia abierta que se indica a continuación.
Parte del contenido está bajo licencias abiertas, que siguen aplicándose. Nada de estas condiciones te impide copiarlo o reutilizarlo como esas licencias permiten:

Las fotos que haces con las gafas y los paseos que registras son tuyos. Eres responsable de ellos y de cómo los compartes, incluidas las personas que aparecen.
9. Uso razonable
Nuestros servicios en línea, la voz de la guía, las preguntas y las descargas, funcionan dentro de presupuestos para seguir siendo asequibles para todo el mundo. La app aplica límites diarios de uso razonable por instalación. No intentes saltártelos, manipular la app, sus comprobaciones de integridad o sus paquetes, acceder a nuestros servidores por otra vía que no sea la app, ni interferir en el uso de otras personas. Podemos bloquear una instalación que lo haga.
10. Reportar contenido
Cada historia, foto y respuesta puede reportarse desde la app. Leemos los reportes y corregimos, sustituimos o retiramos el contenido erróneo, ofensivo, infractor o ilícito. Si tienes derechos sobre algo que muestra la app y crees que se usa sin permiso, escribe a support@cityguidexr.com con los detalles y actuaremos.
11. Disponibilidad y cambios
Seguimos mejorando la app: añadimos ciudades, reescribimos historias, cambiamos funciones. También podemos retirar una ciudad o una función, por ejemplo cuando cambian sus fuentes o cierra un lugar. Los paseos que hayas descargado siguen funcionando sin conexión en tu dispositivo. Si un cambio reduce sustancialmente lo que te da All Access, puedes cancelar y, como consumidor en la UE, pedir el reembolso proporcional del periodo en curso.
Las funciones en línea dependen de las redes, de los servicios de Google y de nuestros presupuestos, y pueden interrumpirse o limitarse. No prometemos una disponibilidad ininterrumpida. Podemos suspender o terminar el servicio a una instalación que incumpla estas condiciones, avisándote antes cuando sea razonable.
12. Garantías y responsabilidad
Ofrecemos la app con el cuidado que cabe esperar de un editor pequeño e independiente, y respondemos conforme a la ley por los contenidos y servicios digitales que te vendemos. Más allá de lo que exige la ley, la app y su contenido se ofrecen tal cual, y no garantizamos que las historias sean exhaustivas o estén libres de errores, que las indicaciones sean siempre la mejor ruta ni que las respuestas de la IA sean correctas.
En la medida en que la ley lo permite, no respondemos de pérdidas indirectas, de la pérdida de disfrute de un viaje ni de daños derivados de cómo caminas, cruzas una calle o usas un dispositivo mientras usas la app. Cuando la responsabilidad no pueda excluirse, queda limitada a lo que nos hayas pagado en los doce meses anteriores al hecho. Nada de estas condiciones limita la responsabilidad por muerte o lesiones causadas por negligencia, por dolo, por negligencia grave ni ninguna responsabilidad que no pueda limitarse según tu ley.
13. Ley y conflictos
Estas condiciones se rigen por la ley española. Si eres consumidor, disfrutas además de las protecciones imperativas de la ley del país en el que vives, y puedes reclamar ante los tribunales de ese país. Siempre intentaremos resolver primero el problema directamente: escríbenos y te responderemos en pocos días.
14. Contacto y cambios en estas condiciones
Preguntas, quejas y solicitudes de derechos, a support@cityguidexr.com. Cuando estas condiciones cambien, se actualiza la fecha de arriba, la versión vigente sigue en cityguidexr.com/terms y los cambios importantes se anuncian en la app antes de aplicarse. Si no aceptas un cambio, deja de usar la app y cancela tu suscripción; el periodo pagado se rige por las condiciones que aceptaste.
